FAQs
-
No, I do not accept insurance directly. However, you may be able to use your out-of-network benefits to get reimbursed for a portion of the therapy cost. Many PPO insurance plans offer this option, and I can provide you with a superbill (a receipt for therapy services) that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.
-
Yes! If you have a PPO plan, your insurance may cover a percentage of your session fees. Every plan is different, so I recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed?
Is there a deductible I need to meet before reimbursement starts?
How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?
If your plan offers reimbursement, I’ll provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential partial reimbursement.
-
The out-of-pocket cost depends on your insurance plan. You will pay the full session fee upfront, and if your insurance provides out-of-network reimbursement, they will refund you a percentage of that cost.
For example, if my session fee is $250 and your insurance reimburses 60%, your final cost after reimbursement would be $100 per session. I encourage you to check with your insurance provider to confirm your specific coverage.
-
Using out-of-network benefits typically involves these steps:
Check with your insurance provider to confirm coverage and reimbursement rates.
Pay for therapy sessions upfront at the agreed-upon rate.
Request a superbill from me, which includes necessary details for reimbursement.
Submit the superbill to your insurance company via their claims process.
Receive reimbursement directly from your insurance company if eligible.
If you have any questions about this process, I’m happy to help guide you!
-
Yes! I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients who need financial assistance. Sliding scale fees are based on financial need and availability. If my standard rate is a barrier, please reach out to discuss options—I want therapy to be as accessible as possible.
If I’m unable to accommodate a reduced fee at the time, I can also provide referrals to lower-cost therapy options.
-
Most clients start with weekly therapy sessions, as consistency is key for building trust, gaining insight, and making progress. Over time, I may recommend that we increase or decrease the frequency of sessions to best support your needs. We’ll discuss what works best based on your unique situation and level of support needed.
-
Therapy is a highly individualized process, and the length of time varies for everyone. Some clients engage in therapy for a few months to work through specific concerns, while others benefit from longer-term support to address deeper patterns and sustain recovery.
Together, we’ll regularly check in on your progress and adjust as needed. My goal is to support you for as long as it feels helpful and necessary for your healing journey.
